Job: Faculty Research Assistant for STARTALK

The National Foreign Language Center seeks a full time Faculty Research Assistant with a specialization/experience in second language acquisition for the STARTALK project. For more information about STARTALK, please see www.startalk.umd.edu

Duties:
-collects and analyzes large amounts of data
-synthesizes findings
-reports results in both oral and written presentations;
-collaborates with colleagues to plan conferences workshops, and meeting
-provides technical assistance to programs by serving as a resource for a wide range of program activities as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
-Masters degree in second language acquisition, or a related discipline
-Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methodology.
-Excellent writing skills
-Experience giving presentations
