The 30th Classical Association of New England Summer Institute will consider the writings and works of the ancients not merely as history, but also as literature and art. Tacitus says in the opening to his Agricola, "To bequeath to posterity a record of the deeds and characters of distinguished men is an ancient practice . . ." And so this year the lecturers and course instructors will look at that "ancient practice."
