The September/October 2011 issue of the National Capital Language Resource Center’s newsletter is out. In this issue:

Feature article
Listening: the starting point for successful language learning

With a new abbreviated schedule of six newsletters per year, NCLRC staff decided to bring you a richer newsletter, with additional columns that they hope will enrich your teaching. Introducing one completely new column, they have Sound Bites for Better Teaching. Crossroads In the Classroom: Heritage Learners / Branching Out: Helping Heritage Language Learners, formerly Heritage Languages, will broaden its scope to focus more on all heritage languages. Tech for Teachers will re-direct to address specific applications we can use in our classes. New authors come with the new columns and technology columns.
